Childhood Scarred by Genocide
Jasmina Ceric grew up during the Bosnian Genocide, a time of unimaginable hardship. At just 11 years old, she faced the trauma of losing her father to a concentration camp while witnessing the devastation of her community. Despite the adversity, she discovered her gift for languages, using it to translate for foreign journalists and bring the world’s attention to her people’s plight.
